Overview of the Role
We are looking for an experience Bar Tender to join our team at The Birnam tap pop-up pub. This role will be central to the day to day running of the pop-up pub, ensuring drinks and food are served to a high standard, creating a warm, relaxed atmosphere for locals and visitors.
Working closely with the front of house team, you will aid in overseeing service, supporting bar staff and ensuring operations run smoothly throughout the shift. With a hands-on approach and strong knowledge of bar service you will guide and support staff during busy periods, maintain organisation of the bar, bar areas and beer garden, helping to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
As we continue our renovations of The Birnam Hotel, the pop-up pub is the first step inbuilding the sense of community and quality service, we aim to offer. You will be part of this early chapter helping to shape the atmosphere and hospitality that will define The Birnam Hotel experience as we move towards full opening. This role is part time and weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve drinks to a high standard, following recipes and service guidelines.
Provide warm, attentive service, engaging confidently with guests and locals, responding to any requests with care.
Maintain a clean and organised set up throughout service, ensuring glasses, equipment and work surfaces and kept to a high standard.
Clear, reset and prepare tables, maintaining a smooth service flow during busy periods and event days.
Follow service procedures and standards to ensure consistency across all dining areas.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation within service area.
Adhere to food hygiene, health and safety requirements always.

Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant, bar or a hotel environment.
An interest in drinks, cocktails and bar service with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
