Overview of the Role
We are looking for passionate and friendly individuals to join our team at The Birnam Inn pop-up pub. You will be at the heart of creating a welcoming and seamless experience, helping to bring the space to life through warm hospitality and attentive service. This role will see you working across both front of house, bar areas and the beer garden, engaging with visitors and locals providing excellent service throughout.
As we continue our renovations of The Birnam Hotel, the pop-up pub is the first step in building the sense of community and quality service, we aim to offer. You will be part of this early chapter helping to shape the atmosphere and hospitality that will define The Birnam Hotel experience as we move towards full opening. This is a part time role and weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for visitors, greeting them with a warm and friendly welcome for their visit.
Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, local beers and seasonal pies to a high standard.
Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring service runs smoothly and efficiently.
Handle cash and till operations efficiently and accurately.
Respond quickly to any requests ensuring customer needs are met
About You
Skills & Competencies
Friendly, approachable and professional with the ability to create a relaxed and welcoming environment for all guests.
Able to work well as part of a team, supporting colleagues during busy service.
Reliable, punctual and consistently committed to maintaining and delivering a high standard of service.
Ability to stay focused, calm and positive in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous service experience in a restaurant, bar, hotel or events environment is beneficial but not essential as full training will be delivered
A genuine interest in hospitality and service, with a willingness to learn develop
Comfortable working in a fast paced, hands-on environment
